Taken from the official site:
We now have almost half the line-up for Sonisphere 2014 with the likes of guitar legend Wilko Johnson, doom pyschadelic metal masters Electric Wizard
rap-rock outfit Dog Eat Dog and more joining already announced acts such asThe Prodigy, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Deftones and Limp Bizkit.
Dog Eat Dog will be playing their debut album, All Boro Kings, in its entirety, saying: “We look forward to partying with everyone like it was 1994!”
While Knebworth celebrates its 40th anniversary as a rock venue, Pittsburg punk rockers ANTI-FLAG are celebrating their 20th anniversary this summer, saying: “Anti-Flag is always searching out new places to play. Sonisphere is a new forum for us to discuss that we are a band that stands against racism, sexism, homophobia and cynicism.”
Also joining the bill are three rising UK acts: Black Spiders, who claim you’ll like them if you “like the first three Black Sabbath albums…or masturbating in church”, the hard-hitting, Brutality Will Prevail and Emp!re, who are carving out a name for them selves on the back of their frontman’s impressive vocal range.
A brand new group is Krokodil, featuring members of Gallows, Cry For Silence, sikTh and current Radio1 Rock Show main man Dan P Carter (ex A/ Hexes), while another special performance will come from recently reformed Raging Speedhorn.
Finnish glam metallers, Reckless Love, can’t wait either, saying: “UK audiences are the best and craziest we’ve seen”, while Stampin’ Ground play their first show since 2006, exclaiming: “We’re more excited than Kriss Akabusi on a waterslide.”
Then we have modern progsters, Tesseract and The Safety Fire, UK metal powerhouse The Defiled who have played every Sonisphere Knebworth gig to date, metalcore funsters, The Hell and The Hype Theory, who Kerrang tip as one of the top bands for 2014.
